Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GEO Optimizer application ("the App," "we," "us") available through the Shopify App Store. By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

GEO Optimizer is a Shopify application that helps merchants optimize their product catalogs for AI-powered search engines. The App provides:

• AI visibility auditing across multiple AI search engines
• GEO Score calculation and breakdown
• Schema.org structured data generation
• llms.txt file generation
• Optimization suggestions and visibility monitoring

2. Account and Access

• You must have an active Shopify store to use the App
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account
• Access to the App is granted through Shopify's OAuth authorization flow
• You must provide accurate store information when installing the App

3. Subscription and Billing

• The App offers multiple subscription tiers: Free, Starter ($19/month), Pro ($49/month), and Enterprise ($99/month)
• All billing is processed through Shopify's native billing system
• Paid plans include a 7-day free trial period
• You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time
• Refunds are handled according to Shopify's App Store refund policy
• Usage limits (product audit counts) reset on a monthly billing cycle

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code
• Abuse API rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage restrictions
• Share your access credentials or allow unauthorized access
• Use the App to generate misleading or fraudulent structured data
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure

5. Data Usage

The full App may access product catalog data after Shopify installation is enabled. This public preview does not connect to Shopify or collect store data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

6. AI Engine Queries

The App sends product-related queries to third-party AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, Serper) to measure AI visibility. These queries contain product titles and types only. Results are informational and do not guarantee specific rankings or visibility in AI search engines.

7. Disclaimers

• GEO Scores and optimization suggestions are informational and do not guarantee improved visibility in AI search results
• AI search engine behavior may change without notice, which may affect score accuracy
• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GEO Optimizer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the App.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, its features, and its documentation are the intellectual property of GEO Optimizer. Generated Schema.org markup, llms.txt content, and optimization reports belong to the merchant who generated them.

10. Termination

• You may uninstall the App at any time through Shopify Admin
• We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated
• Upon uninstallation, all shop data is deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App dashboard. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App operator is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
